Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team at Johns Hopkins Health System. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for procedures, including scrubbing, gowning, and gloving.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Participate in maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment, adhering to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • BLS CPR certification required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program, including clinical experience, is required.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a Surgical Technician is required.
  • Certification by The Association of Surgical Technologists, The National Board of Surgical Technology, or The Surgical Assisting Liaison Council Certificate of Surgical Technology is highly preferred.
