Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Baptist Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute ionizing radiation to patients in a safe and controlled manner to produce high-quality x-ray images.
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and materials for patient use.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and provide input for process improvements.
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding radiologic exams.
- Clean and disinfect x-ray rooms and equipment after each exam.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Prepare barium and other chemical mixtures for x-ray procedures.
- Provide care to patients of all ages, from birth to death.
- Pass initial and yearly competency tests to demonstrate expertise.
- Assume additional duties as needed to support the operation of the Radiology Department.
- Be flexible with working hours to ensure 24-hour departmental coverage, including on-call duty.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Verify patient identification using a two-step identification method.
- Attend educational functions and adhere to state and federal regulations.
- Maintain proper stock levels in the department at all times.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards patients, staff, and management.
