Job Title: RN Resource Float

St. Charles Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Float/Resource RN. This dynamic role will provide high-quality patient care and support to various departments within our Madras and Prineville campuses.

Job Summary:

The Float/Resource RN will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our patients and families. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to providing excellent patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients in various departments, including Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, Peri-Op, and FBC.
  • Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and St. Charles Health System standards.
Requirements:
  • Current Oregon RN license
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
  • TNCC, PALS, NRP, Moderate Sedation certifications within 6 months of hire
  • Code Grey certification within 60 days of hire
  • Department-specific acute care certification (e.g., CEN, CCRN) preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous critical care, step-down unit, or Emergency Department experience
  • Conscious sedation experience
