USPI Texas Orthopedic Center of Excellence is seeking a skilled professional to lead our surgical services team. We have 5 operating rooms and 1 treatment room, performing outpatient surgical procedures in GI, Orthopedic, and Pain management.
Job Summary: The Surgical Services Director is responsible for overseeing all departmental functions in support of the hospital's mission, vision, and facility goals. This includes identifying cost-effective systems, establishing effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors, and continuously monitoring customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services
- Assist as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics
- Collaborate with senior management to meet facility goals
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Baccalaureate degree preferred
- Five (5) years' experience in surgery as a circulator
- Two (2) years' experience in surgery management, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care
- Current Texas RN License
- BLS
- CNOR preferred
- Independent decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians
