Position Title: Materials Logistics Specialist

Overview: The Materials Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of the manufacturing process by maintaining accurate and timely information within the system. This position involves leveraging system reports to engage with suppliers for updated commit dates on outstanding purchase orders, expediting these orders, and adjusting commit dates in the SAP system to ensure accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain component order parameters and ensure data integrity based on supplier feedback.
  • Address issues related to receiving and quality control by clearing problem shelves.
  • Provide suppliers with weekly reports on open orders.
  • Support buyers by sending necessary communications and generating specific reports as required.
  • Occasionally assist in inputting purchase orders as directed by the Planner/Buyers.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in PC operations, especially within a Windows environment, and knowledgeable in SAP.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to perform calculations and interpret data effectively.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to present information clearly and respond to inquiries.
  • Problem-solving abilities to gather data, analyze facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Capability to follow instructions and manage standardized situations with minimal variables.
