Job Title: Customer Service and Leadership Trainer

The Workforce and Professional Education Department at Ocean County College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Training Instructor specializing in Customer Service, Professional Development, and Leadership.

The instructor will be responsible for delivering training that equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in leadership roles and deliver exceptional customer service in a business environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business management, leadership, and customer service, with a passion for teaching and developing future business leaders.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on professional development, business management, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Provide course instruction at various times and locations, including online, evening and weekend offerings.
  • Develop and utilize a course syllabus for each course and follow established institutional guidelines and/or other certification program requirements.
  • Design and implement customized workshops, seminars, and courses that address specific critical thinking needs relevant to industry and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand organizational challenges and tailor training content to meet specific business needs.
  • Incorporate adult learning principles and innovative instructional methods to create a dynamic and effective learning environment.
  • Stay current on industry trends, research, and best practices related to critical thinking skills and incorporate relevant insights into training materials.
  • Serve as a student resource, mentor and advisor to students in career and program matters while also assessing student progress toward the course completion and/or eligibility for certification.
  • Maintain all student records of attendance and performance within the classroom; pre and post student assessment; provide timely, quality-driven responses to students through electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
  • Complete any required annual training to remain in compliance with College policy and/or program requirements.
  • Related duties, initiatives and projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field or equivalent professional experience commensurate with subject/course being taught.
  • At least 1-2 years of proven experience preparing written communications, presentation and delivering and facilitating meetings, training sessions and/or teaching classes or seminars.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software programs as required of the position.
