Job Summary

We are seeking a Cart Runner to join our team at the new Skogen's Festival Foods grocery store in Hudson, WI.

The Cart Runner is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, gathering carts, and safeguarding company assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment.
  2. Be friendly, courteous, cooperative, and able to communicate with associates and customers.
  3. Responsible for maintaining standards according to the Guest Services expectations.
  4. Performs prompt parcel pick-up service.
  5. Collects shopping carts from parking lot and surrounding areas and returns carts to store in a variety of weather conditions (snow, ice, extreme heat/cold, rain, etc.).
  6. Communicate customer requests to management.
  7. Support and execute superior customer service.
  8. Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and lift or push up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment.

Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed in all weather conditions

Work Schedule

The Cart Runner is an hourly position. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  2. Weekly Pay & Premium Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly, providing more frequent access to their funds. Part-time store associates are paid a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays. Hourly full-time store associates receive time and a half on Sundays and select holidays.
  3. Two-Week Advanced Scheduling: Better Planning. Better Balance. We provide our associates with their schedules two weeks in advance, offering greater predictability & flexibility.
