Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bus Driver to join our team at Southeast Community College. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on specified routes to local or distant points according to a time schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect the vehicle prior to each use to ensure proper and safe operations.
  • Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
  • Transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to a time schedule.
  • Comply with all applicable traffic regulations and report any delays or accidents.
  • Ensure passenger safety upon entry and exit from the bus and throughout the duration of the trip.
  • Secure the vehicle when passengers have embarked to ensure safety and security precautions are met.
  • Report any necessary repairs and make arrangements for routine maintenance and repairs to be performed.
  • Conform to and comply with all applicable federal and state transportation guidelines and requirements.
  • Clean the inside of the vehicle as necessary or as requested.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current CDL Class B or C with Passenger Endorsements.
  • Verifiable Two (2) years driving experience.
  • Ability to qualify for auto insurance coverage.
  • Must pass the pre-employment DOT drug test.
