The Environmental Services Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our senior living community. This includes managing the maintenance staff, coordinating repairs and replacements, and ensuring the property is safe and secure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the property, including utilities, life safety systems, and security systems.
  • Maintenance Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and discipline maintenance staff, as well as schedule staff and manage daily workload.
  • Apartment Turnovers: Ensure timely and efficient turnover of apartments, including painting, cleaning, and apartment updates.
  • Emergency Response: Provide 24/7 emergency on-call response, including scheduling staff to provide emergency maintenance coverage.
  • Safety and Security: Identify concerns through regular inspections, lead or co-lead the Safety Committee, and conduct and track community emergency drills.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Three to five years of multi-housing maintenance experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Special Class C Boiler Operators License or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Education: Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree in Industrial energy or a related field.
