Within the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division, our emphasis lies on communications, networking, and Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) for space missions and associated technologies. Based at the DEED Laboratory, our team is engaged in pioneering projects, including CubeSat payload development, signal collection prototypes, and RF system support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver primary assistance to DOD and Intelligence clientele, particularly focusing on the National Reconnaissance Office
  • Conduct equipment upkeep, hardware fabrication, and field testing support
  • Collaborate with peers on RF and digital electronics configurations in a research setting
  • Assist in overseeing laboratory operations, encompassing organization, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
  • Procure essential supplies and equipment for laboratory use
  • Support engineers in the setup and monitoring of testing apparatus
  • Engage in design tasks utilizing CAD tools and aid in fabrication processes
  • Operate environmental testing apparatus and electronic devices
  • Contribute to field test development initiatives and provide on-site testing support

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with electronics or environmental testing apparatus
  • Experience in customer engagement and collaborative project teams
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Capability to obtain and sustain a TS/SSBI security clearance
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required
  • Possession of a valid driver's license

  • Experience with metrology and calibration procedures
  • Knowledge of environmental testing equipment, including thermal chambers and vibration tables
  • Proficiency in mechanical fabrication and CAD tools
  • Current Top-Secret clearance
