About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Gundersen Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will organize medications for dispensing to patients by reading medication orders and/or prescriptions.
  • You will prepare labels and/or bags, calculate quantities, and compound sterile and/or non-sterile products.
  • You will participate in medication dispensing and/or delivery while maintaining pharmacy's medication management and infection control procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • You will be assigned to a specific area of practice and responsibilities will be applicable to that area.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency and completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent pharmacy technician experience.
  • 3 months pharmacy experience (1 year desired).
  • Registration with the Wisconsin Dept. of Safety & Professional Services (WIRPhT) and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification (or equivalent in Minnesota or Iowa).
