Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to individuals with developmental disabilities in our residential programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Registered Nurse (RN) in maintaining accurate health records, medication, and treatment sheets for assigned individuals.
  • Participate in the development of medical services and schedule appointments as required by regulation and directed by the RN.
  • Ensure that prescriptions, medications, and supplies are ordered and maintained according to Agency Policies.
  • Monitor individuals for signs and symptoms of acute illness, communicable diseases, and disease complications/exacerbation of chronic illness.
  • Document status of minor injuries, doctor appointments, and other relevant information.
Requirements
  • Licensed and currently registered with the New York State Department of Education as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License.
  • Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
Work Environment

This role operates in the residential environment of the individuals we support. The successful candidate will be required to travel between assigned sites and participate in conferences or trainings as assigned.
