Position Overview
Join our esteemed team in the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU), where you will engage with patients experiencing Cardiac and Vascular conditions, offering intermediate care tailored to their needs. Our unit is equipped to manage a diverse range of medical issues, including congestive heart failure, acute myocardial infarctions, and cardiac dysrhythmias, necessitating various interventions such as echocardiograms, pacemaker placements, and vascular surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of our nursing staff, you will focus on:
- Interpreting cardiac rhythms with precision.
- Administering drip titration effectively.
- Conducting post-catheterization interventions.
Our nursing professionals are well-trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), ensuring readiness to address emergencies throughout the facility.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure in Georgia.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience following orientation or residency.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Additional cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications may be necessary depending on unit requirements.
- Further education, competencies, and certifications may be mandated based on specific unit needs.
Preferred:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is advantageous.
- Other desirable attributes may differ by unit.
