Position Overview:

The Electronics Testing Engineer plays a pivotal role within a diverse team focused on the design, implementation, and delivery of our systems and solutions. This position involves creating and executing test plans, designing test fixtures, and performing root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on electronic products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Engineering and Production Test Fixtures.
  • Create and execute comprehensive product test plans, along with preparing detailed test reports.
  • Support component lifecycle management by assisting design engineers in identifying and testing alternative electronic components.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to ensure all necessary documentation and training for new product releases are complete.
  • Assist the operations team with various support tasks, including RMAs and RCFAs.
  • Facilitate compliance and certification testing through third-party testing facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Up to two years of experience in a related role.
  • A collaborative team player willing to engage in tasks beyond core competencies.
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and processor emulators/debuggers.
  • Knowledgeable about product certification processes (e.g., CE, UL, TUV).
  • Experienced in testing and troubleshooting electronics at the component level.
  • Familiar with transitioning electronics-based products from design to production.
  • Experienced in developing and implementing test setups, including documentation and installation support.
  • Proficient in interfacing with both internal and external manufacturers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in transitioning low to medium volume industrial electronic products from engineering to production.
  • Background in industrial automation products; experience with Rockwell Automation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation protocols such as Modbus and Profibus.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary to support projects and product development efforts.
