We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Allan Myers, Inc. as part of our Heavy Civil Construction division.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, form, and pour concrete foundations and shafts to meet project specifications.
- Perform duties to ensure high-quality construction and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and vehicles.
- Read and interpret blueprints to perform layout and construction tasks.
- Transfer lines and grades, and possess basic carpentry skills to build concrete structures.
- Fabricate and erect formwork and bulkheads using wood and proprietary systems.
- Align and plumb forms, install ties, water stop, and chamfer.
- Lay out, place, and tie rebar, and place, finish, and cure concrete.
- Erect scaffold and handrail systems, and set and plumb panels for MSE wall.
- Set sleeves, block outs, anchor bolts, and other imbeds.
- Familiar with setup and operation of bridge finishing machines, and possess welding skills.
- Fabricate and install wood and steel forming systems for heavy civil construction projects.
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School preferred.
- Carpentry Apprentice Program preferred.
- 1-3 years of concrete experience required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Working knowledge of proper tool usage and ability to give or receive written or oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently and maintain composure and professionalism in all situations.
