Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Cost Analyst, Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in the English language is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive economic analyses to assess the costs associated with various IT project objectives, including hardware, software, and resource investments.
  • Collaborate with personnel across different divisions to evaluate current and future business costs, addressing integration and security concerns.
  • Analyze system vulnerability management and remediation costs, developing action plans and milestones for security assessments and financial audits.
  • Perform market research and project planning once IT requirements are identified.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies throughout the project analysis process.
  • Engage in project management activities, tracking action items and providing updates to the management team.
  • Refine cost estimates for software development and hardware upgrades.
  • Assist in budget formulation and execution, providing analysis and solutions for program challenges.
  • Prepare independent cost estimates and conduct life-cycle cost analyses, performing economic evaluations as needed.
  • Gather cost and technical data, develop cost estimating methodologies, and establish policies and procedures.
  • Support management in budget, billing, reporting, and financial management for IT initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance accounting practices.
  • Manage multiple project tasks, develop schedules, and create plans and milestones.
  • Draft various documentation including reports, correspondence, and briefs as required.
  • Identify and implement methods to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field, or at minimum, an Information Technology (IT) Certification. A High School Diploma is also acceptable.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience with business analysis and data visualization tools beyond Excel is preferred.

Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification IAT Level II is required (e.g., CompTIA Sec+).

Clearance: Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
