Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business units to strategize on new products, features, and sales initiatives, gaining a comprehensive understanding of business objectives and assessing legal and business risks.

• Develop creative solutions and resolve issues by deeply understanding the business and applying relevant laws and legal requirements.

• Prepare and negotiate contracts to facilitate the market introduction of new products while safeguarding the organization and minimizing risk.

• Provide legal guidance on commercial contracts, product development, and compliance matters.

• Support strategic partnerships with technology partners, resellers, and vendors.

• Stay informed on pertinent laws and regulations within the financial services sector.

• Offer opinions and advice on contract interpretation and other business law issues.

• Review and advise on the legal compliance of marketing materials and sales collateral.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent implementation of legal guidance across various areas, including risk, compliance, intellectual property, and privacy.


What You Will Need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or law, complemented by a Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school, and licensure to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• A minimum of 8-10 years of legal practice experience, preferably in a high-quality law firm or in-house environment, demonstrating a thorough understanding of corporate and commercial contract issues.

• Strong knowledge of financial technology solutions, with in-house experience in a financial institution or fintech environment.

• Exceptional analytical and advisory skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and provide counsel on various business matters.

• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with senior management, external legal counsel, and clients.

• Strong negotiation skills, capable of balancing organizational goals with client needs while managing multiple stakeholders with competing interests.
