ROLE SUMMARY
As a Beverage Service Specialist, you will be responsible for crafting and serving beverage orders to guests, adhering to precise recipes and utilizing appropriate measuring techniques. Your duties will include serving wine and champagne, maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area, and ensuring that all equipment is in optimal condition. You will also create visually appealing garnishes for drinks, manage the stock of ice, glassware, and necessary supplies, and handle the transfer of materials to the bar setup area.
In addition, you will be tasked with cleaning used glassware, clearing the bar top and tables of dirty items, and proactively communicating restocking needs. You will handle various payment methods, reconcile cash at the end of your shift, complete cashier reports, and address any discrepancies while securing cash. It is essential to safeguard all alcoholic beverages, storage areas, and equipment, and to complete all closing tasks efficiently.
Compliance with company policies and safety regulations is paramount; you will report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to your supervisor and participate in safety training and certifications. Maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality regarding proprietary information is expected, as is the safeguarding of company assets.
Customer interaction is a key component of this role. You will greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate their service needs, and express genuine gratitude. Clear and professional communication with colleagues is essential, as is fostering positive working relationships to assist the team in achieving shared goals. You will ensure adherence to quality standards and confirm information in various formats.
This position requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, and handle items of varying sizes and weights with precision. You will navigate through tight spaces and uneven surfaces, reach overhead and below the knees, and perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
Relevant Work Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
Leadership Experience:
No prior leadership experience is necessary.
License or Certification:
Not required.
