Objective: To efficiently prepare banquet tables with linens, place settings, and centerpieces; serve food and beverages to guests, and promptly clear all dishes and linens while adhering to company standards and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare all banquet function tables with linens, china, silverware, glassware, and centerpieces, along with beverage stations and perishable items for service.
- Serve food and beverages to guests attending the banquet.
- Clear all dishes and items utilized during the banquet service, including linens.
- Ensure proper storage of all items, from equipment to perishable goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
- Prepare for upcoming banquets by folding napkins, replenishing condiments, and performing additional tasks as necessary.
- Assist colleagues by covering breaks during shifts.
- Greet guests warmly and courteously.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
- Ability to perform arithmetic for cost calculations and making change.
- Effective communication with diverse individuals to ascertain their service needs and provide information.
- Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Dexterity to handle items such as dishes, cash, and merchandise.
- Physical strength to lift and carry heavy trays.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in guest service and/or as a server.
- Responsible alcohol service and food safety certification.
$20.00/hr
