Job Summary

UNC Health Care is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant I to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant I, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in a hospital, clinic, or home health care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures.
  • Provide care and treatments to patients as outlined in the plan of care, including vital sign measurement, specimen collection, and wound care.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provide indirect care to patients and assigned areas, including cleaning, restocking supplies, and transporting patients and supplies.
  • Reinforce routine teaching given to patients by registered nurses or physicians and document patient understanding of instructions.
Requirements
  • Listing as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.
