This is a full-time role based in our Chesterfield, MO office.Role Summary:
The Clinical Trial Recruitment Coordinator will operate within a call center environment, overseeing all recruitment-related functions for designated clinical studies.
This encompasses a thorough understanding of protocol-specific eligibility criteria, contributing to the formulation of recruitment strategies, and monitoring recruitment performance.
The Coordinator will primarily engage in telephonic screening of prospective study participants, inputting data into the clinical database, and arranging on-site appointments for potential candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact potential research study candidates to gather and evaluate medical histories; schedule them for screening appointments.
- Input research study candidate details into the database.
- Conduct a high volume of outbound calls daily, addressing inquiries from individuals interested in participating in clinical trials; assess initial subject eligibility based on protocol-specific criteria.
- Respond to incoming calls from prospective study participants.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of assigned medical conditions.
- Review patient databases, vendor portals, and other electronic resources to identify potential study candidates and initiate outreach.
- Ensure accurate collection and entry of patient information into relevant databases during calls.
- Provide courteous and efficient service to all callers.
- Support team members and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
- Participate in and contribute to departmental meetings.
Qualifications:
- A degree or certification in the medical or health sector is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills are essential; experience in a call center is beneficial.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and common disease processes is required.
- Prior experience in inside sales is a plus.
- A passion for effective communication with individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are required.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in responsibilities and priorities.
- Capacity to learn rapidly and retain key enrollment criteria across various clinical trials.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrate professionalism, urgency, and self-motivation to meet performance metrics.
