Position Overview

The MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in the diagnostic imaging process, ensuring patient comfort and safety while obtaining high-quality images. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures by offering clear instructions and education to alleviate concerns and enhance cooperation.
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging systems and related equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images.
  • Carefully position patients and machinery to optimize the visualization of the targeted anatomical regions.
  • Establish IV access for contrast-enhanced studies in accordance with established protocols.
  • Support radiologists during minimally invasive imaging procedures.
  • Adhere to all accreditation standards and ensure compliance in daily operations.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care with a friendly attitude and strong communication skills.
Additional Duties:
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
  • Ensure precise billing and charge submissions for services rendered.
  • Efficiently manage patient scheduling to maximize resource utilization.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with relevant guidelines.
  • Engage in mandatory training sessions to maintain and enhance professional skills.
  • Stay informed about licensure requirements and industry advancements.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss operational updates.
  • Execute assigned responsibilities with diligence and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited program in radiologic technology.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Possession of a valid state license.
  • Experience in medical imaging and a solid understanding of human anatomy.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients as necessary.
  • Full range of motion is required for this role.
  • Familiarity with clinical environment conditions is essential.
