Position OverviewAs an MRI Technologist at Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists, you will play a crucial role in patient care and diagnostic imaging. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patients for MRI procedures by offering clear instructions and educational support to alleviate anxiety and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Operating the magnetic resonance imaging system and related equipment to capture high-quality images.
- Positioning patients and equipment effectively to showcase the specific anatomical areas under examination.
- Administering IV access for contrast-enhanced studies in accordance with established national protocols.
- Assisting radiologists during minimally invasive procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Maintaining adherence to accreditation standards to uphold the quality of services provided.
- Delivering exceptional patient care with a friendly demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Contributing to the training and onboarding of new staff members.
- Ensuring accurate submission of charges for services rendered.
- Efficiently scheduling patient appointments to optimize resource utilization.
- Upholding patient confidentiality and compliance with relevant guidelines.
- Participating in mandatory training sessions to enhance professional skills.
- Staying informed about licensure requirements and industry standards.
- Attending staff meetings to collaborate with colleagues.
- Performing assigned duties with diligence and attention to detail.
- Graduation from an accredited program in radiologic technology.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Possession of a valid state license.
- Experience in medical imaging and a solid understanding of human anatomy.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
- Capability to manage physical demands, including heavy lifting.
- Full range of motion required for the role.
- Exposure to clinical environments and conditions.
