MRI Technologist

As an MRI Technologist at Bienville Orthopaedic Specialists, you will play a crucial role in patient care and diagnostic imaging. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing patients for MRI procedures by offering clear instructions and educational support to alleviate anxiety and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Operating the magnetic resonance imaging system and related equipment to capture high-quality images.
• Positioning patients and equipment effectively to showcase the specific anatomical areas under examination.
• Administering IV access for contrast-enhanced studies in accordance with established national protocols.
• Assisting radiologists during minimally invasive procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
• Maintaining adherence to accreditation standards to uphold the quality of services provided.
• Delivering exceptional patient care with a friendly demeanor and strong communication skills.

• Contributing to the training and onboarding of new staff members.
• Ensuring accurate submission of charges for services rendered.
• Efficiently scheduling patient appointments to optimize resource utilization.
• Upholding patient confidentiality and compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Participating in mandatory training sessions to enhance professional skills.
• Staying informed about licensure requirements and industry standards.
• Attending staff meetings to collaborate with colleagues.
• Performing assigned duties with diligence and attention to detail.

• Graduation from an accredited program in radiologic technology.
• Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Possession of a valid state license.
• Experience in medical imaging and a solid understanding of human anatomy.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Capability to manage physical demands, including heavy lifting.
• Full range of motion required for the role.
