Medical Oncology Unit Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the intradepartmental and interdepartmental functioning of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing performance and activities related to patient care and treatment within the hospital on a specific shift.
- Serve as an authority in the absence of other members of the nursing management/administrative team.
- Direct staff members appropriately and effectively in emergency situations.
- Access personnel needs based on census, acuity, and special needs of each unit.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Act as a Clinical Resource regarding complex patient issues and assist staff in clinical decision making.
- Manage admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Model, promote, and hold staff accountable for attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience that differentiates the organization as a leader in healthcare.
- Coordinate with management/administrative team to ensure staff productivity and appropriate resource utilization to achieve high-quality patient care while meeting financial performance goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Completion of or actively pursuing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
