About the Job

At Solvenow Inc., we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for our clients.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability/renewable energy systems, and other similar electrical systems.
  • Perform studies of power systems and electrical calculations for electrical systems, lighting simulations, lighting layouts, communications, fire alarm, security and other similar calculations.
  • Develop white papers and technical documentation to support the firm's technical knowledge Management (TKM).
  • Contribute to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
  • Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Review draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices.
  • Meet with current and potential future clients to review their current and future design needs.
  • Attend conferences, symposia, etc. to improve the visibility of the firm's products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 7 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of National Electric Code and other NFPA electrical-related documents.
  • Some knowledge of electrical study software such as SKM PowerTools, ETAP, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills and exhibits leadership qualities for assistance to the Electrical Region Team Leader (Manager).
  • Can review and suggest changes to the electrical design of less experienced engineers.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills.
