Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to assist in the lockdown of firewall policies in Enterprise datacenters and in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in Networking, with a strong background in firewall design, deployment, and administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure, working with Cisco ASA's and Firepower
  • Manage the firewall deployment, rules migrations, and firewall administration
  • Responsible for converting existing rule base onto new platforms. Lockdown permissive rules.
  • Fully versed in the syntax of security platforms, and rule verification
  • Cleanup rules (use standard naming conventions, also document those)
  • Use ADX, Tufin for reporting
  • Optimize rules where applicable
  • Lockdown port 80/443 web traffic
  • Provide support during hypercare and after lockdown changes are implemented
  • Represent the changes at the weekly change review meetings and update network diagrams and all other applicable documents
  • Create standard deployment and support documentation to be handed over to the network operations group
  • Review technical requirements for the Firewall Infrastructure
  • Develop design and system configuration based on technical requirements
  • Recommend enhancements/changes to system design as appropriate
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years' experience designing, deploying, configuring, and administering Firewalls, preferably Cisco Firepower
  • Hands on experience with network protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, TCP/IP, etc)
  • Experience securing a large inter network establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access
  • Experience working in large enterprise networks is desired. The ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management will be key to these roles
Physical Demands

Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing). Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

This is a fully remote position, paying a salary range of $100,000 to $115,000 annually.
