Equine Care Specialist

Job Summary
As an Equine Care Specialist at the University of Kentucky, you will play a vital role in the care and well-being of horses and ponies on our Woodford farm. Your responsibilities will include assisting with feeding, cleaning stalls, and providing general care to the animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily care and maintenance of horses and ponies, including feeding, grooming, and cleaning stalls
- Help with mowing and weed eating to maintain the farm's grounds
- Assist with veterinary care and research projects as needed
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 65 lbs
Requirements
- Skills and knowledge appropriate for farm work and horse handling are desired
- No supervisory responsibilities
