Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and selecting high-quality candidates to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, source, and screen candidates, resumes, and job applications to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools and methods to evaluate candidate fit.
  • Maintain knowledge of business line performance expectations and effectively apply the knowledge to execute sourcing plans.
  • Consistently influence the sourcing and hiring of high-quality talent by embedding diversity and inclusion into the process.
  • Source and recruit diverse candidates using a variety of networks, social media, and other strategies to attract top talent.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships to increase the numbers of candidates in the recruiting pipeline and successful hires.
  • Identify recruiting trends and needs through internal and external monitoring to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Research candidates and positions to ensure accurate and effective recruitment strategies.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and other professional networks to expand our reach.
  • Proactively partner with universities, organizations, or professional trade groups to ensure inclusive, diverse two-way relationships.
  • Gather feedback and deliver professional feedback to candidates, as appropriate, to help develop themselves.
  • Assist with preparing hiring managers to utilize assessment tools and behavioral interviews to evaluate candidate fit.
  • Routinely meet with hiring managers to lead intake meetings, calibration meetings, and ensure two-way dialogue regarding recruitment strategies, tactics, and candidate pipelines.
  • Develop and deliver training to hiring managers and business unit leaders on talent acquisition topics, trends, recruiting processes, and other relevant areas.
  • Partner and communicate with Hiring Managers and HR consistently throughout the recruitment life cycle.
  • Work well in a highly collaborative, matrixed organization where relationship building is a key to success.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the recruitment field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in working with an applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in proactively sourcing and cold-calling active and passive candidates.
  • Experience with a variety of sourcing methodologies, social recruiting strategies, and purposeful relationships for networking.
  • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action requirements regarding hiring practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal, counseling, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working with external recruiters preferred.
