Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Mechanical Technician to join our team at DreamFields, a leading cannabis company renowned for its top-tier products and exceptional customer experiences. As the industry leader in pre-roll brands, such as Jeeter, we prioritize innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain automated machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and quality standards.
  • Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance on various types of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance work around production activities to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to resolve mechanical issues and improve processes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and quality checks on automated systems to uphold standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies.
  • Adhere to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), safety standards, and policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of automation systems, including process control, instrumentation, and servo driven ladder logic.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational/Trade training or A.S in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial elements.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.
