Salary
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This compensation package is competitive with other top academic medical centers, and we offer a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition assistance, and retirement plans.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated researcher to join our team as an Associate Professor in Vascular Research. The successful candidate will have a strong background in basic, clinical, or decision science related to vascular disease, and a proven track record of securing extramural funding. They will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, designing, implementing, and conducting research studies, developing and writing grant proposals, and publishing their research in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, they will be expected to instruct and mentor junior scientists, students, and trainees, and participate in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a PhD or MD/PhD in an applicable field, with a strong background in vascular research. They must also have postdoctoral research experience in basic science research, a proven ability to write scientific reports and publish in peer-reviewed journals, and current or active extramural grant funding. Academic experience and a strong national and international scholarly reputation are also highly desirable.
