Job Summary

The Quality Manager provides leadership to the Quality department and plant quality processes and procedures. Plans, coordinates, and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and Analyzes Statistical Data: Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Formulates Quality Control Objectives: Formulates and maintains quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
  • Creates Inspection Criteria and Procedures: Creates and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Designs Quality Control Training Programs: Designs and implements quality control training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
  • Analyzes Quality Systems: Analyzes Quality Systems (e.g. TS 16949 and ISO 9001).
  • Provides In-Depth Understanding of Cost of Quality: Provides an in-depth understanding of Cost of Quality.
  • Manages Quality Inspection and Product Release Programs: Manage the quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in process material and components processes and finished goods.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Control, or a related field
  • Eight (8) years of experience as a Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor
  • Eight years of experience in the application of advanced quality tools
  • Six (6) years of negotiation experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products
