We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Facilities Engineer to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our R&D Laboratory, you will play a critical role in developing sophisticated, economical, and reliable automated HVAC test facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of refrigeration, mechanical, and controls systems for new facilities to support product development needs of Trane Commercial Systems products.
- Analyze and troubleshoot existing Lab Facility issues and controls systems to provide timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop total preventative maintenance plans and ensure maintenance plans are executed on a timely basis to minimize facility downtime for all new and existing facilities.
- Lead and support advancement of new technologies to aid in the design and speed of new product development.
- Motivate individuals and teams to achieve results-oriented goals with a strong customer focus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences and at least 2-years of facility or HVAC controls experience is required.
- Working knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and machine design.
- Experience with compressors, fans, variable frequency drives, or motors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
