Position Summary:
Aqua Service is in search of a skilled Water Quality Service Technician to enhance our dedicated team. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in the maintenance and repair of water treatment systems, particularly focusing on softeners and reverse osmosis (RO) units. In this role, you will be tasked with the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment apparatus at various client locations.
Key Duties:
- Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse range of commercial and industrial water treatment systems, including softeners and RO units.
- Identify and resolve issues with water treatment equipment, determining the most effective repair strategies.
- Install new water treatment systems and their components as required.
- Possess the capability to install piping, including galvanized, copper, and PVC.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by explaining repair and maintenance processes to clients and addressing their inquiries.
- Maintain precise records of service visits, detailing work performed and parts utilized.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies consistently.
- Transport water softener salt bags and Deionized Water tanks as necessary.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and emerging technologies in water treatment.
- Collaborate with team members and provide mentorship to junior technicians when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical or vocational training in water treatment or a related field is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in servicing and repairing commercial and industrial water treatment systems, especially softeners and RO units.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift and transport heavy equipment as necessary.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining service records and communication.
- Must successfully pass a Drug and Background check as mandated by certain clients.
