Non-Emergency Medical Transport Specialist

Sol Transportation Inc. is seeking a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in connecting patients to crucial medical services, including doctor's visits, dialysis, rehabilitation, and outpatient treatments.
Responsibilities- Safely operate a company vehicle and adhere to traffic and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety, particularly those with limited mobility or special medical needs.
- Maintain a positive, professional demeanor to provide a welcoming and reassuring experience for each passenger.
- Monitor passengers' well-being during transit and communicate with healthcare providers or family members if necessary.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and ensure punctual pick-ups and drop-offs, respecting passengers' time and the importance of their appointments.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in excellent working condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage, passenger details, and any incidents or delays.
- Compassionate Passenger Assistance: Safely and attentively assist passengers in entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their comfort throughout the entire journey.
- Timely and Safe Transportation: Prioritize the safe, reliable, and punctual transportation of passengers to and from medical facilities.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Cleanliness: Regularly inspect, maintain, and clean the vehicle to meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
- Passenger and Equipment Safety: Expertly secure passengers, including those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids, inside the vehicle, following all safety protocols.
- Sound Judgment and Decision-Making: Display excellent judgment in a variety of situations, particularly when it comes to ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.
- Empathetic Communication: Engage with passengers using clear, respectful, and compassionate communication.
- Passion for Community Service: Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality care and service to individuals within the community.
- Strong Teamwork and Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and passengers.
