Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced EMT Transport Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our emergency medical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient transportation of patients in the ambulance
  • Administer basic and advanced life support care within the limits of licensure or certification
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the improvement of department scores for patient satisfaction and quality metrics
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • One year experience as a EMT or EMT currently enrolled in EMT-I or Paramedic accredited program
  • License/Certification: LP - Licensed Paramedic - State Licensure, EMT-B - Emergency Medical Technician-Basic - State Certification, EMT-I - Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate - State Certification, EMT-A - Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced - State Certification, EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic - State Certification, DL - Driver License - State Licensure, BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA), NVCRISIS - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA)
