Physician, Internal Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join our team at Ascension Borgess Health Park in Battle Creek, MI.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated physician to provide high-quality medical services to patients and be part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
- Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
- Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, including on-call schedules.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s): Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentialing done by Medical Staff department.
Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
