We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Ascension Borgess Hospital. As a member of our medical staff, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
- Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians.
- Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
- Participate in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
- Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
