Cardiac Care Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our Cardiac PCU. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver population-specific care, adhering to the BORN regulations and professional standards of care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
- Oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care
- Render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team
- Current MA RN license required
- Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience
- Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred
The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation.
Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements.
Physical Standards of Job Description:- Constantly – 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity
- Frequently – 25% to 75% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity
- Occasionally – 5% to 25% or more of the worker's time is spent in this activity
- Rarely – under 5% or more of the worker's time is spent in the activity
