Echocardiographer - Cardiac Imaging Specialist

Williamson Health is seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join our team at our hospital campus. As a cardiac imaging specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiogram procedures to patients and physicians in a safe and clean environment.
About the RoleThis role requires formal education in echocardiography, proficiency in performing TEE studies and stress echoes, and the ability to work in a team-oriented setting. You will assist cardiologists during procedures and be available for on-call STAT needs, adhering to the organization's values of compassion, respect, and inclusivity.
Responsibilities- Checks patient identification and physician order to ensure accuracy of request before proceeding with study.
- Recognizes abnormal studies and reports appropriately. Understands proper use of Definity.
- Seeks opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and always makes good use of time.
- Correctly records preliminary calculations and post measurements and findings.
- Assist Cardiologists during TEE's and Cardioversions.
- Shows leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and makes appropriate decisions.
- Volunteers for overtime and fill-in when needed.
- Performs high quality studies consistently and follows pre-determined standards (protocols) and procedures for all echocardiography studies.
- Communicates and follows through with fellow employees to ensure that all requests from physicians and patients are completed.
- Willing to provide portable studies for patients when it is in the best interest of the patient as deemed necessary by the patient's nurse or nursing supervisor.
- Utilizes knowledge of anatomy and disease processes to accurately communicate patient pathology to Cardiologist.
- Responds in a timely manner when on call.

Requirements- Earned a degree/certificate from an accredited Echocardiography program. Must be registered or registry eligible in Echocardiography.
- Proficient in performing TEE studies, stress echo studies, and use of contrast.
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
- Preference of at least two years of work experience after graduation.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
