Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, secure, and orderly environment within an assigned building space or facility complex. This includes maintaining areas and grounds outside of a school or district building, as well as performing other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Janitorial Services: Thoroughly clean and maintain assigned facilities, including floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
  • Scheduling and Organization: Maintain a schedule for periodic cleaning of assigned facilities, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Observe and report needs for maintenance and repair, and assist in performing minor repairs as needed.
  • Supervision and Communication: Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Qualifications and Requirements: Graduation from high school or equivalent, and a current resume for both internal and external applicants.
