Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN Med Surg to join our team for a 13-week assignment in Decatur, Illinois.

As a travel nurse RN Med Surg, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.

Requirements
  • IL License
  • Minimum 2 years' experience required
  • Required Work Setting Experience: Med/Surg
  • Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams
  • Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management
  • Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
  • Required Medication Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA
  • Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury
  • Experience with Surgical drains required
  • Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management
  • Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
  • Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required
  • Cerner experience required
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred
  • Trauma Level II Experience Preferred
