This role requires the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, utilizing the nursing process and clinical skills to direct, provide, and evaluate patient care according to the department's scope of service.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide cost-efficient care with excellent clinical outcomes for patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans, maintaining accurate medical records and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, demonstrating a strong customer focus and ability to interact in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner.

Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • BCLS certification and additional certifications required in specialty areas.

Work Environment:


Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, and other infectious diseases requiring the use of protective equipment. May also be exposed to other hazards, such as radiation, toxic waste, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, etc.


Physical Requirements:


Requires a range of physical activity from sedentary work to heavy work, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting patients. Ability to use appropriate Safe-Patient Handling equipment and maintain visual acuity, auditory, and verbal skills.
