Position Overview

This is a temporary professional expert position and continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds and approval by the Governing Board.

InsideHigherEd is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and vibrant educational environment. We are seeking a visionary leader to enhance student engagement and community involvement. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing innovative programs that resonate with our diverse student body and will play a pivotal role in enriching campus life.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the management and utilization of student facilities and resources.Guide student government operations alongside faculty advisors, ensuring effective governance.Act as a resource and provide leadership to student organizations and clubs.Design and implement a comprehensive intramural program for student participation.Review and sanction all student group activities and expenditures, maintaining financial accountability.Establish policies for the use of campus communication channels and oversee the publication of the Student Handbook.Prepare and disseminate information regarding campus events and activities.Encourage student involvement in various programs and events, including orientation and community outreach.Coordinate commencement ceremonies and related activities.Develop assessment plans to evaluate program effectiveness.Facilitate student representation in campus committees.Lead student retreats and activities, fostering community and engagement.Participate in strategic planning and program evaluation.Recruit and manage the Panther Feedback Team to enhance student experiences.Maintain a comprehensive calendar of events to keep the campus community informed.Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree.One year of relevant experience in a leadership or administrative role.Demonstrated understanding of diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.Knowledge of current practices in student engagement and governance.Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Capacity to establish positive working relationships across the campus community.
Desirable QualificationsExperience in a higher education setting.Proven track record of promoting equity and access for underrepresented groups.Experience with student discipline and grievance processes.Expertise in developing student life programs.Familiarity with relevant regulations and policies.Experience in organizing large-scale student events.

Additional Information
Evening and weekend hours may be required. This is a full-time temporary position with competitive benefits, including health care and retirement coverage. The successful candidate will be expected to work onsite and engage directly with students and staff.
