About the Role:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor to perform nuclear medicine procedures, schedule procedures, and initiate new procedures. The incumbent will also be responsible for transporting patients, handling telephone calls for scheduling patients, and answering questions related to reports of exams.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures and schedule procedures
  • Initiate new procedures and transport patients
  • Handle telephone calls for scheduling patients and answer questions related to reports of exams
  • Assist physicians with invasive procedures and administer basic C.P.R.
  • Help clean rooms and equipment and order supplies
  • Assist the supervisor in the daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine department

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology/nuclear medicine
  • Registered or registry eligible
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory mandates for quality control
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of imaging
  • Knowledge of nuclear medicine physics, anatomy, and positioning
  • Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously and keep a helpful attitude toward patients, their families, office personnel, physicians, and associates

  • CNMT upon hire
  • BLS upon hire
  • Nuclear Medicine Training
