Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GenTax Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology Services Division in the GenTax Special Projects & New Development Unit. As a GenTax Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for developing design specifications for objects and code to be used by the development team, extracting data from existing systems to be loaded into COTS products, and diagnosing technical problems and constructing technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop design specifications for objects and code to be used by the development team.
  • Extract data from existing systems to be loaded into COTS products.
  • Diagnose technical problems and construct technical solutions.
  • Respond to technical problems referred by agency management or staff users regarding system or software problems.
  • Identify inefficiencies in IT practices, procedures, and approaches to customer service and recommend changes.
  • Serve as liaison to software and data vendors for problem resolution and technical support purposes.
  • Assist other IT staff in solving problems and dealing with system issues.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have five (5) years of information systems experience in application development, or an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or a related field, and three (3) years of information systems experience in application development, or a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, and one (1) year of information systems experience in application development.
