Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at BNW Services. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in developing comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale commercial construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of project bids, and working closely with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop estimates for large commercial construction projects, such as office buildings, retail centers, industrial facilities, and multi-family residential projects.
- Read, analyze, and interpret contract proposals, drawings, and specifications to ensure a full understanding of the project scope.
- Perform quantity take-offs for unit price and lump sum project bidding schedules, summarizing results in an Excel spreadsheet format.
- Analyze various scopes of work and produce comprehensive unit price estimates by creating production crews and including specific equipment and materials using HCSS or other estimating software.
- Work closely with subcontractors, material suppliers, and project owners during pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost proposals.
- Participate in joint venture team reviews for major projects when applicable.
- Assist with alternative delivery methods, such as design/build and CMAR, when needed.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of estimating experience on commercial construction projects.
- Previous experience estimating projects over $100M in value.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Experience with HCSS or similar estimating software.
- Experience with alternative delivery methods such as design/build and CMAR is preferred.
