**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Monitor/Aide to provide operational oversight, day-to-day management, and assist drivers in safe operation of routes. As a Monitor/Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers while in route, communicating with drivers and school personnel, and conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Monitor the route and remain alert to the welfare of passengers while in route
* Communicate behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver
* Assist in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus
* Assist students in the loading and unloading process
* Cooperate and communicate with school personnel, students, and parents
* Attend all safety and training meetings
* Conduct emergency evacuation from the bus, including use of exiting by emergency door
* Open and close service doors and move up and down steps multiple times daily
* Clean the inside of the bus
* Assist driver when necessary to safely direct the vehicle backwards

**Requirements:**

* Good verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Early morning availability
* Judgement/problem solving skills
* Ability to manage high degrees of stress
