As a Patient Care Specialist with CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. This position requires a high level of compassion, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, including assisting with daily living activities, feeding, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist nurses and doctors with medical procedures, including dressing wounds and administering medications.
- Document patient information, including temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs, and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Meet the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
