Job Description

As a Commercial Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing daily on-site project management and overseeing all aspects of the project. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management: Provide daily on-site project management and be responsible for all aspects of the project.
  • Negotiation and Procurement: Negotiate all trade and vendor pricing per project to reach profitable agreements.
  • Resource Management: Determine needed site resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to the project budget.
  • Construction Operations: Plan all construction operations and schedule all work on-site to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Client Communication: Provide a daily client update including project progress report and photographs; keep a daily log of what took place on-site for each project.
  • Quality and Safety: Communicate quality and performance standards to all trade contractors and vendors; strive for no-defect, no schedule delay construction.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Supervise the work of each project on-site and provide guidance as needed.
  • Project Close Out: Create the Project Close Out binder.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent.
  • Ground Up Experience: Ground up experience is required.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in Commercial, Higher Ed, Industrial, Light Industrial, Healthcare, Wastewater, or Municipal is preferred.
  • Software Skills: Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, FastTrack, as well as other software platforms.
  • Certifications: OSHA certified required.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to Learn: Willing to learn and grow within the company.
  • Track Record of Success: Track record of previous success within a reputable commercial GC.
