Job DescriptionAs a Commercial Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing daily on-site project management and overseeing all aspects of the project. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Management: Provide daily on-site project management and be responsible for all aspects of the project.
- Negotiation and Procurement: Negotiate all trade and vendor pricing per project to reach profitable agreements.
- Resource Management: Determine needed site resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to the project budget.
- Construction Operations: Plan all construction operations and schedule all work on-site to ensure deadlines are met.
- Client Communication: Provide a daily client update including project progress report and photographs; keep a daily log of what took place on-site for each project.
- Quality and Safety: Communicate quality and performance standards to all trade contractors and vendors; strive for no-defect, no schedule delay construction.
- Supervision and Guidance: Supervise the work of each project on-site and provide guidance as needed.
- Project Close Out: Create the Project Close Out binder.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience: 4+ years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent.
- Ground Up Experience: Ground up experience is required.
- Industry Experience: Experience in Commercial, Higher Ed, Industrial, Light Industrial, Healthcare, Wastewater, or Municipal is preferred.
- Software Skills: Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, FastTrack, as well as other software platforms.
- Certifications: OSHA certified required.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to Learn: Willing to learn and grow within the company.
- Track Record of Success: Track record of previous success within a reputable commercial GC.
