Position Overview

The Logistics Performance Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing Transportation Management operations, including procurement, Freight Bill Audit & Payment, and Shipment Planning & Execution, ensuring that Ryder's services align with client expectations.

This role involves conducting repetitive analyses and tasks aimed at fostering ongoing cost and service enhancements by proposing and executing identified improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess key performance indicators, executing root cause analysis using TM operating systems.
  • Provide comprehensive support functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in data processing, reporting analysis, and addressing customer-specific inquiries.
  • Engage with clients to resolve issues and coordinate implementations effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to troubleshoot problems and support implementations.
  • Generate and distribute weekly and monthly customer metrics, creating performance reports.
  • Prepare various reports and support documents as required, including updates to SCLM and SCMP.
  • Initiate continuous process improvement initiatives and monitor their outcomes.
  • Measure the cost and service performance of transportation networks, analyzing, implementing, and developing improvement strategies in collaboration with the Account Executive.
  • Coordinate TM procurement activities to achieve optimal cost/service solutions.
  • Prepare materials for client quarterly and monthly account reviews.
  • Evaluate, quantify, and present opportunities for ongoing improvement at assigned accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English (for Quebec locations only).
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • High degree of initiative and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and interpreting complex statistical data.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint) and internet usage for work-related tasks.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and effective presentation capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong customer focus.

Education and Experience

  • College degree or Technical Certification in Business, Logistics, or Transportation is required; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Transportation is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of industry-related experience is required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in customs and freight flow, as well as Transportation Management, is necessary.
